The Hearts of Man

A young knight’s journey to rescue an abducted prince exposes the true evil that lurks deep in the hearts of mankind.

OVERVIEW

The Hearts of Man presents a medieval setting with unique fantasy elements: where individuals with divine bloodlines can wield extraordinary magical powers.

In a battle between the militaristic kingdom of Vygarde and the faithful theocracy of Vaal Erdene, an infant prince with the ability to harness divine magic, is abducted.

A young knight from Vygarde, Jakob, sets out to rescue the young prince and avenge his brother who died defending him in the battle. Meanwhile Freya, a young priestess from Vaal Erdene escapes with the young prince, recognising his powers to be similar to her own and pledging to return him home safely. The first season tells the story of these two heroes’ journeys amidst the bitter conflict between their homelands.

The Hearts of Man is a union of classic fantasy and an unrelenting examination of human nature – Game of Thrones meets The Wire. Drama is entrenched in humanity, and every tragedy has its roots in ambition and desire.
